Our Mission:

To enrich the lives of preschool children and their parents through socialization, activities and community service while establishing the foundation for a positive transition into a school system.

What we offer:

Field Trips:  HPP offers monthly field trips to area businesses and attractions geared toward younger children.  Many of our trips are offered at no charge, but some do cost a nominal fee.  Our trips are scheduled at different times during the day so that everyone has a chance to participate.  Some of our past favorites include Szalay's Fruit Farm, Cleveland Children's Museum, Memphis Kiddie Park, Kindermusik & local restaurants such as Chipotle, Dairy Queen & Marcelita's.

Special Projects:  HPP hosts several special events in the fall, winter and spring.  They are typically held on Saturday afternoons so that all of our membership can attend.  Past parties themes have included a winter beach party and a jungle safari.  We kick-off our year in August with our annual membership picnic.  Click Here for details.

Storytelling:  Monthly events allow children to take some time out to hear some interactive storytelling.  Some of HPP favorites include the Bubble Lady, Trish & Mel, and Mr. Hatbox.  HPP also offers the opportunity to introduce children to live theatre with trips to Actor's Summit and Solon Community Theatre.

Playgroups:  Each year playgroups are formed matching members with children of similiar age.  Once formed, the playgroups decide when and where to meet and what type of activities they would like to participate in.  Most playgroups meet weekly throughout the year at area parks or at each other's homes.

Community Service:  HPP believes in giving back to our community.  Throughout the year we participate in events that allow us to show we care.  Our biggest event is the Hudson Relay for Life.  This past year we once again teamed up with the Hudson Newcomers Club with our theme "Wild for a Cure" and raised over $5000 for the American Cancer Society.

Monthly Newsletters:  All active members will receive a copy of our newsletter filled with all of the exciting events and activities we have to offer.  It also includes a special section "Take a Tot To" with information on local, family-friendly events.

Children's Fair and WOYC:  Each April, Hudson Preschool Parents participates in Week of the Young Child.  A week-long field trip extravaganza is topped off by a family-friendly children's fair with games, snacks and lots of fun activities for the whole family.

General Meetings:  Hudson Preschool Parents holds monthly meetings for parents on the third Tuesday of the month.  Past topics included preserving your family history, how to take the best photographs and child behavior.  We also offer a Preschool Panel in January where you can learn about all of the local preschools and get information about registration.  Childcare is provided at the meetings for those who wish to use it.
