HPP Gives Back To Our Community
As a non-profit organization, Hudson Preschool Parents gives all monies generated throughout the year back to the community. You may have played in our tree maze at Hudson Springs Park or sat on our bench at Veterans Way park. Perhaps you’ve been to one of our sponsored programs at the Hudson Library or your child has benefited from funds donated to the Hudson City Schools Integrated Preschool.
This year's donations will support Hudson Community Living Company. HCLC's mission is to "Develop safe, supportive, independent living communities for Adults with Developmental Disabilities so that they may live joyfully with lifelong friends."
We are all able to give and help at different times and in different ways. Below are some ways that Hudson Preschool Parents has worked as an organization to donate goods, money or time to benefit those in our community.
Thank you for your support!

In October, please help HPP collect gently used coats - of all sizes, infant through adult - to bring warmth to our community this winter! During our "Project Warmth" Coat Drive we will be accepting new and gently used winter coats to donate to local organizations for distribution to those in need of winter outerwear.
As you clean out your closets, or refresh and prepare your/your kids' wardrobes for the chilly months ahead, please consider dropping off winter coats you no longer need at the following locations the entire month of October:
A collection bin will be placed at each of these locations through the end of October. Thank you for your generous donations and for helping HPP meet the needs of children and their families in our community!

Ronald McDonald House
The HPP board is proud to announce that in 2019, a $2,000 donation was made to the Ronald McDonald House of Akron on behalf of the 2018-2019 membership. An engraved brick and rocking chair with commemorative plaque have been placed at the house in recognition of the donation. This donation will go towards operation of the house and provide accommodations to families in need.
Additionally, a $300 donation was made to the Akron Children's Hospital Emergency Department. The money donated will be used to purchase Good Job Box items, including toys, children's jewelry, sunglasses, stuffed animals, and card games. These small prizes help make the hospital a little less scary for children being treated, provide them with a sense of control in an unfamiliar situation and put a smile on their faces!
Project Night Night
A total of 216 bedtime bags were donated to children in need in Summit County during the 2020 holiday season. Special thanks to Erin Swain, pictured below with a portion of the bags, who coordinated the project.
THANK YOU to our members for contributing to our community service projects supporting local nonprofit organizations such as Project Night Night. Thanks to your generosity, each year we have donated hundreds of 'night packages' with books, stuffed animals and blankets to children experiencing homelessness in our region.
